Undergraduate Requirements

• Students with qualifications from any international high school are expected to have results comparable to students from UK institutions
• Students with a Higher National Diploma or an Associate Degree will be considered for advanced entry to some undergraduate courses

• Applicants聽who do not hold an International High School qualification will be expected to undertake a pathway programme at our聽
• Students with a BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma may be considered for Year 2 entry with DDD or DDM, depending on the course. 聽Year 2 entry is not available for all programmes, and some may require specific subjects.
• Students with a mixture of BTEC Level 3 and A level qualifications may also be considered for either year 1 or 2 entry depending on the course and subject requirements.
• Students with a BTEC HND may be considered for year 3 entry to a relevant course subject to course mapping.

Year 1 entry

• A-Levels - refer to聽UK A-Level entry requirements on course pages.
• HKDSE (A-Level equivalent) match to UK A-Levels - all elective subjects

Year 2 entry

• A Levels - refer to our UK A Level entry requirements for year 2 entry聽on course pages.
• HKDSE (A-Level equivalent) match to UK A-Levels for year 2 entry grades - all elective subjects

English Language聽

Most undergraduate courses require an IELTS score of 6.0, with a minimum of 5.5 in each area. Some courses require a higher English language score. Always check the relevant course page聽and our English Language Requirements page聽before applying.

We accept HKALE AS Level English at Grade E or above and HKDSE English Language at Grade 4 or above.

Postgraduate Requirements

• A first degree with a minimum of a second class lower classification or a minimum GPA 2.3 or C+ from an institution in Hong Kong, or an equivalent
• A small number of University postgraduate programmes do require a minimum of second class upper classification, or an equivalent (please refer to the relevant course page)
• Applicants with lower qualification and / or relevant work experience will be considered on a case by case basis. Contact Admissions for information:聽admissions@rgu.ac.uk
• Students who do not meet our direct entry requirements may be able to undertake a pre-masters programme through our聽聽at Robert Gordon University
